The Best Dog Parks in America to Visit With Your Pup

The dog park is probably one of your dog's favorite places to be. Who could blame them? They get to run around in open fields, meet tons of new dog friends and get tons of exercise. Like most dog owners, we only want the best for our little guys or gals during their favorite part of the day, so why not take them to the best dog parks around? Here is a list of some of the best dog parks in America that you and your dog should check out:

Cincinnati Ohio: Washington Dog ParkThis park was built for active pups! The clean and family-friendly 12,000 acre park takes their infrastructure a step further with synthetic canine turf, a creek made for dogs to lay and splash around in and pet gravel to help keep your dog clean. Plus, the park includes giant boulders your dog can climb on or spread out on to soak up some rays.

Lancaster, Pa: Beau's Dream Dog Park at Buchanan Park This park is every dog’s personal paradise. With awesome features such as splash pads, spray nozzles, a roller coaster inspired foot bridge, walking trails, play areas and a tennis ball tree, your dog is sure to have the time of his or her life in this park.

Maple Grove, Minnesota : Elm Creek Reserve Dog Park Rain, shine OR snow, your dog is always down for a good time! At Elm Creek Reserve, your dog can express their adventurous side doing fun activities such as dog-sledding, skijoring and even pulling you on a sled. During the warmer months, take a hike with your dog and explore what nature has to offer!

Houston, Texas: Congressman Bill Archer Bark ParkThe coolest part about this park? It has a giant pond in the shape of a dog bone! Besides the awesome pond, your dog can also enjoy walking trails, water fountains, covered areas that supply shade and an agility course. Bonus: the park isn’t fenced in, so your pup is free to roam!

Richmond, California: Point Isabel Regional ShorelineThis 23-acre park is titled one of the largest off-leash parks in the nation, giving your pup tons of options when it comes to making new friends. The park, which use to be a landfill, has been cleaned up and turned into puppy heaven. Dogs can play in the water and when they are done, you can have them feeling fresh again at Mudpuppy’s Tub & Scrub while you enjoy some grub and drinks at the Sit and Stay Cafe. If the added perks of the cafe and bathing facility doesn’t appeal to you, maybe the view of the Golden Gate Bridge will have you coming back from more playtime visits.
